HOW WE MET
Aaron and I met at a work Christmas break up, both of our functions happened to be at the same place and a mutual friend ended up introducing us. From the moment we met we were inseparable, spending every spare minute we could together.
THE PROPOSAL
I had just moved down to Queenstown and Aaron was planning to move down a few months after. One weekend, he flew down to see me and he told me that he had planned a date night (we take turns organising these each month so I really wasn’t suspicious) he then surprised me with a new dress and drove me to the airport where there was a helicopter waiting. We flew up to Ben Lomond station where there was a champagne picnic waiting for us. He popped the question with a beautiful custom made ring from a designer back home. It could not have been any more perfect!
THE DAY
We got married in Queenstown, 300m down the road from our house. There was a beautiful clear marquee on the golf course with views of the remarkable mountain range throughout. We had 110 people fly in for the wedding and it was an amazing week filled with lots of BBQs and celebrations. On the day we had an incredible live band and a burger truck! People were dancing right till the end of the night. The next day as husband and wife, we hosted a big BBQ for the celebrations to continue! The temperature dropped and we could see snow on the hills but the sun continued to shine for us all weekend making it a perfect winter wedding.
Dear Aaron,
From the moment we met, I knew you were my someone.
Someone who knows what I’m thinking by the look in my eyes,
Someone who I can pour my heart out to and I know you will treat it gently and without any judgement,
Someone who I can laugh with until I cry and who can melt my stress away,
Someone who challenges me but does it with such care,
Most importantly someone who reminds me of my strength at my weakest points,
Thank you for being my someone, if I could wish anything for anyone, it would be to have their own someone like you.
Dear Morgan,
Morgan, our journey together has been amazing already, but it's only the beginning. Today, as we stand before our loved ones, I want you to know in your heart that you are the one for me. There's no one else I'd rather journey with, no one else I'd rather grow with. No one else I'd choose to love. Let’s start this lifelong adventure together.
MAISON OUI
Shopping at Maison Oui was truly a dream, their team made me feel so special they really look after you. The dresses were stunning! It was so hard to choose. My dress, the Soulmate, had actually only shown up that morning from New York and as soon as I put it on I knew it was the one. Maison Oui made me feel like such a beautiful bride and I am so grateful for that.
